Pupils dance their way into National Final
Rendcomb College Junior School’s Dance Troupe have qualified for the National Grand Final of the Great Big British Dance off after coming 3rd in the regional heat in Swindon last month.
The group of pupils from Year 3 to Year 6, performed their specially choreographed piece ‘splash of colour’ to a packed crowd at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on Monday, 26 March.
Their performance earned them a 3rd place finish which qualifies them for the National Grand Final in Oxford on Tuesday, 26 June.
Mrs Sume Liebenberg, Head of Junior School Dance at Rendcomb College, said: “Many congratulations to all the children who took part in the competition, they have worked so hard. What an amazing team effort, we can’t wait for the final now!”
The troupe will be competing at the Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts this week before the final next month.
