Facilities for Rendcomb College Sixth Formers

There is no Sixth Form quite like Rendcomb College for A-Level study. Not only do we help pupils to achieve great academic outcomes, our on site facilities encourage adventure and ambition.

With a 10 acre sports ground with a pavilion, complete with on site Clay Pigeon Shooting field. A state of the art gym with running, rowing and weights machines, a strength and conditioning suite, as well as a spin bike level on a mezzanine floor. 
The sports hall is complete with cricket nets, basket ball court, badminton court and 5 a side football.

In our woodland wilderness you can find mountain bike track, forest fire pits, orienteering and outdoor pursuits, climbling ropes and a team building area.
The all weather asto turf is home to tennis, hockey, netball and football, overlooked by a lawn which is often used for croquet and volleyball.

In 2017, we opened a new, £3.3m Performing Arts Centre in the heart of our campus. Available to pupils throughout the College, the complex, named The Griffin Theatre, provides industry-standard performance and rehearsal space for students to practice, perform and nurture their creative talents. The theatre has extensive facilities for the budding actor but also for the pupils wishing to pursue the technical side to drama and productions.  Throughout the year alongside the productions, we run back-stage activities where pupils can explore the creative side to productions from lighting and sound engineering to costume and set design. The theatre is a space for all to enjoy and welcome everyone to join us in our productions in one form or another. 

The onsite medical centre is available to all pupils, with 2 sisters on duty at any one time.

STEM

For STEM subjects, a state of the art computer science department with brand new gaming spec machines provides ample opportunity for budding coders and gamers alike. Our science laboratories are fabulous spaces with teaching facilities located at the front of the classrooms, allowing for practicals to be taught, demonstrated and performed at the back of the class. Our Mathematics department utilises high levels of interactive technology to deliver lessons, allowing for pupils to solve and manipulate problems in real time during the lesson. 

Sixth Form Centre

Sixth Formers at Rendcomb College also benefit from their own Sixth Form Centre. This dedicated building for our Year 12 and 13 gives them their own space on campus. With quiet study rooms, a lounge, kitchen, class rooms, lockers and access to the Head of Sixth Form, it’s a great place to study and learn.

All of this, in a beautiful, historic countryside cotswold estate.
