By promoting exploration and individual choice, the Reading Challenge seeks to foster a positive reading culture across the College - one where pupils feel empowered to discover new ideas, perspectives and passions through books.
English teacher, Mr Sam Keeling, has launched an exciting new Reading Challenge designed to broaden pupils’ awareness of the wide variety of reading material available to them and to encourage a lifelong enjoyment of reading.
The initiative aims to move beyond traditional reading lists, inspiring pupils to explore books that genuinely reflect their personal interests. From classics to sporting memoirs and military history to philosophy and beyond, the challenge highlights the enormous range of literature that pupils can enjoy when given the freedom to choose.
To support the launch, dozens of new books spanning a wide variety of genres have been added to the College library. Pupils are encouraged to browse the new collections and select titles that spark their curiosity, helping them to see reading as both enjoyable and personally meaningful.
