The trip was a fantastic opportunity for students to broaden their perspectives, engage with real-world learning, and spark new ideas across both subject areas.

Year 9 students enjoyed an exciting Art and Geography trip to Bristol las, combining location, history, and creative exploration.

The morning focused on Geography as students embarked on a guided boat tour of Bristol Harbour. As they travelled through the waterways, they learned about the city’s rich industrial past, the regeneration of the harbour area, and the impact these developments have had on Bristol’s growth and identity. The group then visited the M Shed museum, where exhibits on Bristol’s culture, heritage, and global connections helped deepen their understanding of the city’s historical significance.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Art with a visit to Wake The Tiger, an immersive art experience. Students wandered through themed rooms and corridors, discovering hidden spaces, stepping through wardrobes, and even sliding into new environments. The installation encouraged curiosity and challenged students to think creatively about what art can be, offering inspiration through its imaginative storytelling and interactive design.
