“Thank you for always creating a safe space for me to grow. I genuinely would not have the confidence to chase my dreams and believe in myself if you hadn’t shown me how to do so during my time at Rendcomb (and beyond). Always so grateful, thank you.”

The College was delighted to receive wonderful news of an Old Rendcombian making impressive strides on the drama scene. Nathan Seatter-Messer (OR 2010–22) is currently performing the role of Kashoggi in We Will Rock You as part of his third year of training at Urdang.

After completing his A levels at Rendcomb in 2022, Nathan went on to undertake a foundation year at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He is now training in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre at Urdang, based near the West End. Urdang has been a leading conservatoire for Dance and Musical Theatre for over 50 years and is now part of the Department of Performing Arts at City St George’s, University of London.

In addition to his stage work, Nathan has already built up several television credits and is thoroughly enjoying his current endeavours in We Will Rock You.

Reflecting on his journey so far, Nathan said: “My journey since leaving Rendcomb has been an absolute whirlwind from making my TV debut in Sex Education to getting a lead role in my third-year musical at my dream drama school, Urdang.

“I am so grateful for the continued support and kindness of my fabulous teachers - especially Laura Hayward, Dr Tom Edwards, Sara Griffiths and Sarah Stokes. In such formative years, I couldn’t have been luckier to have been shaped by such kind, generous, accepting, creative and joyous (the list goes on!) people.”

He added: “Thank you for always creating a safe space for me to grow. I genuinely would not have the confidence to chase my dreams and believe in myself if you hadn’t shown me how to do so during my time at Rendcomb (and beyond). Always so grateful, thank you.”
