Rendcomb College News and Blog

Lunchtime concerts are now a regular feature at Rendcomb, organised by the Music
Department and showcasing the musical talents of our pupils.  Today's concert featured a beautiful duet by Charlotte Clements and Issy Bailey of the West Side Story song "Somewhere"  and a excellent rendition of "Imagine" by Peter Harrison on piano and voice accompanied by Dan Geerah on acoustic guitar.   There were many other excellent performances from Bryony Smith, Callum Favell, Olivia Knapp, Lance Baynham and Sarah Tarleton.

Just to let you know that we now have some chickens!!! If you would like to go and see them they are temporarily being housed in one of the greenhouses behind stable. Soon they will be transferred to a coup built by Pete Cairn’s, our Works Manager, own fair hands.

Once they get settled and start laying eggs let me or Charlie Clements (Chicken manager) know and we may be able to sort you out with some.

A big thanks must go to Pete for organising this…hopefully they will be a welcomed addition to Rendcomb. It is hoped that this will give the boarders a chance to have a go at animal husbandry; a team has already been drawn to look after them….fingers crossed they do not fall foul of Fantastic Mr Fox!

a masterclass with a number of Rendcomb's young pianists served only to confirm this view.
