Welcome to the Old Rectory
The Old Rectory is the home for all the 11-14 year old boys (day and boarding), as well as flexiboarders from the top end of the Junior School. We have been running this beautiful Georgian boarding house for 7 years and we are committed to making the Old Rectory a ‘home from home.’ It is the boys’ ‘base’ during the day and there are many activities on offer for them, ranging from electronic games to more physical activities outside.
The Old Rectory offers many opportunities for the boys to develop into young men as they hold positions of responsibility not only for their own areas but also for carrying out duties to benefit the whole House.
In the evenings there are opportunities to socialise with our sister house, Godman (especially at Friday Night Challenges and parties), get fit in the gym and Sports Hall, as well as just relaxing, such as watching a movie in our cinema room, whilst eating popcorn. Friday night is a very popular night for flexiboarding.
Whilst we believe that we have great facilities both in and outside the House; the greatest asset of the Old Rectory are the boys themselves, who mature into well-rounded individuals that show empathy to their peers whilst in a community of camaraderie; respecting each other for who they are and celebrating in each others’ uniqueness
