We're going on a bear hunt, we're going to catch a big one, what a beautiful day, we're not scared...
Rendcomb Nursery went through the swishy swashy grass and squelchy mud in the woods at Rendcomb in search of the bear that was hiding in the woods. Much fun was had by all.

The Nursery have been making the most of the glorious late Autumn weather. They have been exploring the wonderful Rendcomb estate, picking up beautiful coloured leaves off the ground as they went for a walk.

Reception and Nursery enjoyed a fun and interesting day out at the Cotswold Farm Park. The children learnt about chicks and ducklings in the touch barn and really enjoyed cuddling the rabbits. The bouncy pillow and tractor ride were a great success. Thankfully the weather held out and the waterproof coats weren’t needed.

The Nursery made their own picture with all the beautiful blossom that had fallen from the trees. They collected sticks and lots of blossom to make a tree. The children then pretended the blossom was confetti and sprinkled it over each other.

The Nursery was transformed into Rendcomb Zoo for the day to celebrate World Book Day. The children dressed as animals from the book 'Dear Zoo' by Rod Campbell, whilst the nursery teachers became zoo keepers for the day.

Even the wet weather couldn’t dampen Nursery children's spirits in their hunt for ladybirds in Forest School. After a long search they managed to find 30 soggy ladybirds hiding amongst the trees. The children love being outside, whatever the weather!

What an exciting week we've had in the Nursery. The police brought two police cars and a riot van for us to explore. We enjoyed dressing up and were even also allowed to sit in the police cars and van.
A few days later, a fire engine arrived. We learnt a song about keeping safe. Everyone had the chance to squirt the hose and Mrs Hardie was allowed to but the sirens on, they were very loud!

The Nursery children enjoyed treading the boards as they performed in the Junior School's Nativty play, 'Babushka.' The Nursery children were all dressed as sheep, complete with face paints. They sang and danced to rapturous applause.

The Nursery went to visit Pam & Eric Dukes at Rendcomb village Post Office to post a letter. The children all watched the letter being weighed and then having the stamps stuck on to it. The children all enjoyed watching the letter go into the bag to wait for the postman to collect later.
