On Thursday 10th June the Otters all took part in ‘Around the World Day’. Everyone dressed up in clothes from different countries and we held a special assembly in which all the children talked about their wonderful outfits. Each child had their own Otters’ passport which was stamped as they ‘visited’ and learnt about different countries throughout the day. The children experienced a range of activities including: an African Gumboot dance workshop, English folk dancing, South American Mardi Gras mask making, Austrailian aboriginal artwork, African safari silhouette paintings,Amazon rainforest collages, and learning French and German songs with Mr Colls. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and tasted food from around the world. A fun day was had by all.
