Welcome to Godman House

Godman House is a positive and supportive environment for girls in the First to Third form, and flexi boarders at the top end of the Junior School.

The house is centred on co-operation, responsibility and fun: regular highlights of the year include the parents’ dinner party, where girls cook and serve a four course meal for parents and provide entertainment between courses. Similarly, there are joint ‘big sister’ evenings with Lawn House, Friday Night Challenges with the boys in the Old Rectory, and regular parties, discos and film nights.

The ‘don’t be bored board’ is filled with games and activities, and there are always plenty of things to do, including the Wii and karaoke machine.  Girls take responsibility for designing and decorating the house: we have a glamour grotto – perfect for trying out make up and new hairstyles; a hobbies room with lots of craft materials and sewing machines; and a den, to snuggle down in for the occasional sleepover. Last but not least is our gloriously pink and gorgeous common room – complete with glitter ball and built in disco lights!
