How to Enter Rendcomb College

Entering Rendcomb college at 11

Examinations for entry in 2012- 2013  will be held onThursday, 19th January 2012. All candidates for Art, Drama, Music and Sport scholarships take further tests.  If you are interested in applying for 11+ entrance in September 2012, please contact our Admissions Department in the first instance.

Entering Rendcomb College at 13                    

Entry at 13 is by Common Entrance or by Scholarship Examination. The next examinations are on Thursday, 23th February 2012, starting at 9.00am. Where candidates have not followed the Common Entrance Syllabus, a special examination can be arranged.

Entering Rendcomb College at 16

For entry into the Sixth Form, all candidates need to have obtained a good standard at GCSE and provide a full school report. The next Sixth Form Scholarship interviews will take place in early February 2012. All candidates are invited to meet the Headmaster, Mr Roland Martin, and to provide him with a current school report.

Bursaries and Scholarships offered in 2012 at 11, 13 and 16

A number of scholarships (Academic, Art, Music, Performing Art and Sport) and Forces Scholarships are awarded each year. They are based on assessment of a pupil’s potential and the value that we believe they will add to the life of our school. All awards are reassessed annually and are subject to satisfactory academic progress and behavior. All cases are judged on their own merits and parents are invited to discuss their eligibility for a financial award with the Headmaster.
