A LEVEL RESULTS PRESS RELEASE
19TH AUGUST 2010

Students at Rendcomb College were celebrating with another set of impressive A level results this year.  31% of the papers taken were awarded A*or A grades with an overall pass-rate of 95%.  Local girl Laura Graham, secured three A*s in English, History and Art; she intends to read Art History at Nottingham University. Fran Baker, who also lives in Rendcomb, will go on to read Graphic Design at the University of Chester, having scored As in English, Theatre Studies and Art.  Bruce Chen, who achieved 4 A levels with A*s in Maths and Further Maths, and As in Chemistry and Physics will read Physics at Imperial College, London. Dorothy Lu who secured exactly the same results will read Bio-Chemistry at University College, London. Head Boy, George Ord, who has already started his teaching GAP year in New Zealand, passed with A*s in History and English and a B in Physical Education.
Mr Gerry Holden, Headmaster commented “This was a particularly pleasing set of results from a delightful group of students, who not only performed well in the exam hall but also gave generously of their time to the sporting, musical and cultural side of college life.”
