Helen & Douglas House provides Hospice Care for Children and Young Adults with life-shortening conditions, as well as support for their families. The students also bought in toys and gifts which have handed over to the Cricklade Street shop in Cirencester to help raise more funds. The emphasis is on living life to the full even in difficult circumstances. Over £250 was raised on this occasion and all the staff and pupils responded to the fundraising day which was initiated and led by Lower Sixth Former Tom Margesson, who also works voluntarily for this charity. Mrs Hooker, representing the charity, expressed her thanks for the school’s hospitality and was “extremely impressed by the College; particularly with regards to the efficiency of the School Council”. A representative from Helen and Douglas House will be visiting the school next term to give a Chapel Service
