U14 XV 1

They have been an exciting side to watch, using technique and support of the ball carrier to keep the ball alive and break down opposition defences skillfully:  the rapier rather than the mallet!  The small age group means that every boy in the year has had the opportunity to represent the College and to contribute their best efforts in building a good team spirit and appropriate ethos in the manner in which the games have been played. In particular, the match against a physically bigger and useful side from Leighton Park demonstrated the qualities of the side and of Rendcomb Rugby.  Each boy available to the squad contributed; the game was played in a good spirit, with committed defence and quick handling skills in possession; both teams ended the match proud of their efforts and of the standard of rugby played and witnessed by an enthusiastic parental support on Top Pitch.  Perfect!
