As part of the new website development pupils were invited to write a 600- 800 word piece, in a style of their choosing, under the title My Rendcomb. The competition was judged by Mrs Martin, the Headmaster’s wife. There was fierce competition with the star prize of an Apple iPad.
Sam Tushingham, from the third form, won the coveted iPad. The prize was generously donated by Mr Chris Schofield from WSI Internet Marketing. Mrs Martin was delighted with both the number and standard of entries and commented on how lovely it had been to read about how much pupils loved their School. She had also been impressed by the different styles of entry from formal argumentative prose, creative stories, factual accounts and even poetry.
The runners up - Tom Benson, Honor Birden, Paddy Gilling, Tom Godwin, Mitchell Kendal-Smith and Jake McKeown - all received a £25 Amazon voucher from the Headmaster.
Well done to all concerned!
