Highlights of the term include:
1. An excellent season for our 1st XI Girls’ Hockey side captained by Katy Schofield.
2. Similarly, our 1st XV rugby side have also been hugely impressive under the captaincy of Ieuan Clements.
3. Our musicians under the inspirational leadership of Mr Raby have put on a plethora of concerts and performances.
4. Our Drama Department treated us to an amusing production of Outside Edge, starring Tom Molloy and Sophie Musgrave under the Directorship of Mrs Dodd in The Dulverton Hall last week.
5. Our Duke of Edinburgh staff have led successful expeditions and there have been some excellent educational visits from the English, Geography and Psychology Departments.
I would also wish to pay tribute to the excellent work carried out by our non-teaching staff this term in the kitchen under the leadership of Mr Naylor; the grounds and maintenance department under the direction of Mr Peter Cairns and our administrative and medical staff who give endlessly of their time in support of the College.
Earlier in the term, you should have received, by email, a newsletter updating you on RCPA events and some significant developments on parental communication. Could I bring to your attention the forthcoming joint Junior and Senior School Ball which is scheduled for Saturday 1st May 2010?. Details of this event and others can be found on our parents’ zone on our new website which will go live very early next term. In keeping with our declared policy towards making Rendcomb a “greener school”, all future general parental communication will be electronic either by email or on our website.
May I take this opportunity of wishing all of you a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
With warm best wishes,
