Rosie Parkes, aged 6 let her creative side go wild, as she scooped first prize with her imaginative entry for Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust welly design competition winners from Rendcomb Collge Junior School‘Design a Wildlife Welly’ competition run by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. They had received over 500 welly ‘masterpieces.’ Grace Tushingham, aged 9 was a runner-up.

The Judge thought that “on a grey winter’s day, Rosie’s picture looked particularly colourful and cheerful and by including lots of different animals and insects you could tell this was a really well thought out pair of wellies!”

Jan Ryder from the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust surprised the girls by announcing the winners and presenting them with their prizes in Junior School Distinction Assembly.
