Art 

Great Britain is a centre of excellence for the Arts where artists, designers, architects, writers, actors, dancers, directors and musicians contribute to the thriving industry that is our world class art galleries, museums, concert halls, theatres, cinema, fashion and design.  Within the Art Department at Rendcomb College we encourage our students to become a part of that exciting and creative world.

In our spacious light airy studios we aim to give our students an excellent grounding in the skills, techniques and ideas connected to visual expression. They are given every opportunity to involve themselves in a wide range of artistic experience.  While drawing skills are at the core of all disciplines, students are encouraged to paint, print, construct, design, collage, sculpt, plan and much more.

Our multicultural approach taps into the inspirational art and design from around the world whilst acknowledging our own history of western art. We enhance artistic practice with a well stocked library, digital media and regular trips to galleries at home and abroad. 

Art is a visual language with its own grammar, vocabulary and syntax and this is what we teach through stimulating, diverse projects, where we study a rich past and look at an exciting present with out enthusiastic young artists and designers of the future.
